Dynergy Energy Inc. (NYSE: DYN), based in Houston, Texas, is the onwer and operator of several large power plants and and electricity wholesaler. Dynergy was accused of market manipulatin in the California Electricity Crisis of 2000 and 2001.

In 2005 Dynergy settled a class action lawsuit against it for securities fraud for $474 million. ¹
